Nan Rich will be the keynote speaker at a meet and greet event Saturday, August 2 beginning at 11:00 am at the Hagen Ranch Road Library, 14350 Hagen Ranch Rd. in Delray Beach. State Rep. Kathleen Peters is also hosting a canvassing event Saturday for her House District 69 re-election bid. She asks supporters to meet at 2101 Tyrone Blvd N — across the street from Starbucks Coffee and TGIFriday’s — to begin by 9 a.m. Peters expects the door knocking to be finished by noon time, and lunch is on her. Volunteers and supporters of Greenlight Pinellas will gather for a kickoff rally to pick up “Yes on Greenlight” yard signs, T-shirts, campaign buttons and other materials, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. It will be  followed by a door-knocking campaign at 10:30 a.m. The rally is at the parking lot west of Jack Russell Stadium, on the corner of Palmetto Street and Phillies Drive in Clearwater, with door-knocking in surrounding neighborhoods.
