The Natural Resources Defense Council picked up the tweet with a link to Earth Wire, who added an appraisal from University of Miami geologist Harold Wanless who opined that “It’s beyond ludicrous to deny using the term ‘climate change.’ It’s criminal at this point.”

Friday afternoon, he reposted the item with an ‘@ mention’ to former Vice President and climate change activist Al Gore.
