Thomas Scott announced today that he is running for the position of Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.

Scott promises to protect the integrity of the voting process; provide excellent customer service; and promote education and outreach in all segments of the community. Scott said, “My decision to run was motivated by my desire to see the election process put back in the hands of the people.”

Scott has been heavily recruited by members of the community to return to public office and particularly to run for Supervisor of Elections.  Scott commented, “I am a good fit for this position because of my ability to work with people regardless of their party affiliation.” Scott is a lifelong vocal proponent of voters’ rights and a champion for complete voter confidence in the election process. He brings a nonpartisan demeanor and style to the Elections office.

Scott stated, “Now is the time for experienced leadership. I am in this race because many people from throughout this community have asked me to re-enter public service.  I am concerned about the direction of our government and I realize that direction starts with voters’ rights, their confidence in the election process and access to a fair and nonpartisan election system.”
