Tickets are now on sale for the 75th Annual Miss Florida Pageant to be held July 7 to 10 at St. Petersburg’s beautiful Progress Energy Center for the Arts’ Mahaffey Theater. Preliminary pageants are July 7, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m., with the Miss Florida Pageant on Saturday, July 10, at 10 p.m. Tickets are available at www.mahaffeytheater.com.
The Miss Florida Pageant, with the winner going on to the Miss America Competition, will also be telecast LIVE on CBS affiliate WTSP in the Tampa Bay Market, 10 Connects, 7 to 9 p.m. on July 10, with the addition of Frontline Homeowners Insurance as the new title sponsor.
Mary Sullivan, executive director of the Miss Florida Pageant, said, “We are very pleased to announce the new partnership between the Miss Florida Pageant and Frontline Homeowners Insurance. The partnership will make a high definition telecast available of the 75th Anniversary Show.”
The 2010 Miss Florida Pageant sponsored by Frontline Homeowners Insurance will be hosted by Lissette Gonzalez and Ericka Dunlap. Lissette, a former Miss Florida and 2nd runner-up in the Miss America competition, is now a weather anchor at CBS WFOR 4 Miami. Ericka, a former Miss Florida and Miss America 2004, was a top 3 finalist on Amazing Race in 2009.
This year, 46 young women from throughout the state will be competing for the title and the opportunity to represent the Sunshine State at the Miss America Pageant.
