Travis Hutson files paperwork for 2016 re-election bid

State Rep. Travis Hutson, who faces no opposition in House District 24 this year, filed a campaign account for a 2016 re-election bid, according to the Florida Division of Elections.

The Elkton Republican joins 8 other House incumbents and 12 Senate incumbents, who have made the plunge into the 2016 race.

Filing a campaign account permits candidates to begin raising money. Hutson represents, which includes Flagler County and parts of St. Johns and Volusia counties.

Hudson recently won a spot on the 2014 Florida Chamber of Commerce list of Distinguished Advocates, recognized for his efforts in the fight on health care legislation and funding for Cancer Centers of Excellence.
