Will conservative groups target Florida Supreme Court justices for defeat this November?

Judicial retention elections usually draw little attention. But The Washington Post reports that Florida Supreme Court Justices R. Fred Lewis, Barbara Pariente and Peggy Quince are preparing for the possibility of being targeted by conservative groups during the November election.

Part of the change stems from the emergence of super-PACs and wealthy donors who are willing to spend money to take out their opponents. Also, the Post reports, judges watched three Iowa Supreme Court justices lose their jobs after upholding same-sex marriage in the state.
