St. Petersburg residents are encouraged to attend the first of three public budget summits tomorrow night, April 25, to share ideas about the city’s future needs and help prioritize spending for the Fiscal Year 13 budget.
The budget summit will be held at J.W. Cate Center, 5801 22nd Ave. N. beginning at 6 p.m. Budget officials will make a brief presentation, followed by an opportunity for the public to share comments and suggestions.Budget summits in May and June will provide additional opportunities for the public to weigh in on the proposed city spending plan. Earlier Wednesday, Mayor Foster greets residents over coffee and conversation when Breakfast With the Mayor’ visits Bob Evans, 2410 66th St. N. Residents can pull up a chair and share what’s on their mind with the Mayor beginning at 7 a.m. Breakfast With the Mayor’ is held on the fourth Wednesday monthly.
