Three months have passed since the last article was posted on St. Petersblog, the snarkiest of local blogs and recipient of a Creative Loafing “Best of the Bay” award. Before that, posting had been increasingly sporadic, which leads me to believe that the anonymous minds behind the blog must have gotten a real job OR (my theory) Alex Pickett was the brains behind the operation, grew tired of toiling away in anonymity and transitioned to the site Will Write For Food.
Either way, I’d like to hear what happened St. Petersblog. It takes a lot of balls to just steal my blog’s name (I created Saint Petersblog in ’05, took a break in ’06 and, in the interim, out pops St. Petersblog. How original.
So I’m calling St. Petersblog out. There’s a frekin’ election in St. Petersburg and we need all the ‘Petersblogs we can get to cover this lackluster race.
