In other words, it was a frustrating night for Tampa Bay Bays pitcher Jake Odorizzi, who was mostly good in his start against the New York Yankees. But the Yankees did the most damage possible with a little bit of offense, hitting three home runs on their only hits against Odorizzi, blows by Alex Rodriguez, Brian McCann and Greg Bird. Two of the home runs came after Odorizzi’s two walks on the night.

The Rays scored on a home run by Evan Longoria and a ninth-inning double by J.P. Arencibia, who has eight RBI in his last three games. The Yankee’ Luis Severino went seven innings for his third straight victory.

Matt Moore pitches for the Rays today after a stint in the minor leagues, facing Nathan Eovaldi of the Yankees.
