In other news, a Florida man tried to repossess a car with two minor children still in it and then sprayed pepper spray at the adults who tried to stop him. Coming as little surprise to just about anyone who’s following along, the Tampa Bay Rays rejected the latest proposal to allow the team to look outside of St. Petersburg for a new stadium site. The Florida Department of Transportation has met or exceeded 16 of 17 benchmarks set by the Florida Transportation Commission for fiscal year 2014-2015. St. Pete is discontinuing water sampling in areas where wastewater overflow was released in early August as a result of a heavy rain event.
