Former Tampa Bay Buc quarterback Josh Freeman goes to the minors

in Sports/Top Headlines by

Former Tampa Bay Bucs’ quarterback Josh Freeman wants to keep playing football, it appears, in the worst way possible.

He might have found it.

Freeman will take the field to play for the honor of the Brooklyn Bolts, members of something called the FXFL, a four-team league in its second season. Other teams include Mahoning Valley (Niles, Ohio), Hudson Valley and Miami. The FXFL is considered minor league football.

Freeman showed potential early in his career with Tampa Bay, winning 10 games and throwing 25 touchdowns with six interceptions in 2010. But his career unraveled, and the Bucs let him go in the 2013 season.
