Jeb Bush is taking his fundraising tour to California next week in support of Right to Rise, the super PAC many expect will bankroll a likely presidential bid.
The former governor heads to Newport Beach on March 30 for an elite $25,000-per-couple “reception and discussion” at the Pacific Club, reports Matea Gold of The Washington Post.
After that, Bush heads to an event at the Bel Air home of Maria and Robert Tuttle, who served as United Kingdom ambassador under President George W. Bush.
Among the listed co-hosts are several top West Coast financiers, including investment firm founder Robert Day; Brad Freeman, a former fundraiser for George W. Bush; Suzanne and Ric Kayne, a leading asset manager; former Austrian ambassador Susan McCaw and her husband Craig, a cellular phone industry mogul.
To attend the event, couples must bundle at least $25,000 in donations. A ticket to both the reception and dinner costs $100,000 per couple.
Gold says Bush will also host a “luncheon and discussion” on April 2 at the Mandarin Oriental in San Francisco. Hosts include Katie Kern and her husband, venture capitalist Jay Kern, as well as school-choice advocates Bill and Susan Oberndorf.
