Quack, quack: Bill Foster hires Mallard Group

in The Bay and the 'Burg by
Mayoral candidate Bill Foster confirmed on Saturday night that he will indeed retain The Mallard Group to assist his campaign. Foster has been coy about which consultant he would employ in this race, but he has relied on ‘The Pond’ before in his re-election efforts to the St. Petersburg City Council. Although The Mallard Group has been relatively quiet lately, especially after a series of high-profile losses and a lawsuit was filed against the firm by Judge Jack Day, TMG does have some experience winning races in St. Petersburg. In addition to the Foster campaigns, The Mallard Group consulted on the successful effort to keep Albert Whitted Airport. Then again, the last time Jack Hebert and The Mallard Group consulted in a mayoral race in St. Petersburg, for Larry Williams, it ended up in a lawsuit. Foster is also utilizing local sports agent Jim Neader to run the day-to-day operations of his campaign.
