Join Saint Petersburg Preservation for a summer evening walking tour this FRIDAY, JUNE 18 starting at 7 pm. The tour will start in front of Central Organics at 243 Central Avenue, next to the Detroit Hotel. Downtown and the waterfront offer a beautiful setting for a leisurely stroll as the heat of the day begins to wane and evening begins to take hold. The tour lasting about 90 minutes will highlight some of the great historic buildings still remaining in downtown while also noting some of the “jewels of the past” which have been demolished over the years. At tour’s end you are welcome to stay downtown and join us for dinner, dessert, or a drink.
Saint Petersburg Preservation tours are free for members; a $5 donation is requested of non-members (membership may be renewed or obtained at the tour — please see below). Street parking downtown is generally free after 6 pm (verify at your location) or garage parking convenient to the tour starting point can be found at either the Baywalk garage (entrance at 2nd Street and Sunshine Alley (between 1st and 2nd Avenues North)) or the Southcore garage (car entrance on 1st Avenue South between 1st and 2nd Street).
