Florida gives $750,000 raise to football coach Jim McElwain

It wasn’t a million-dollar season. Not quite. But for the University of Florida‘s Jim McElwain, the first season with the Gators was profitable nevertheless. Florida has announced that it has given McElwain a $750,000 raise, bringing his total compensation to $4.25 million. That puts McElwain fifth in the SEC in compensation, just behind LSU’s Les Miles, who earns $4.3 million season. Nick Saban is first in the league at $6.9 million. University of Florida to sell alcohol at football, men’s basketball games
