NCAA denies the appeal of Gators’ quarterback Will Grier

For one of the few times all season, something has not gone right with the Florida Gators. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the NCAA has decided to reject the appeal of Gators’ quarterback Will Grier. Grier will remain suspended until next Oct. 15, just before the team plays against Missouri. Grier was suspended by the NCAA for use of a banned substance. Gators pick dental student as backup kicker

A dental student has filled Florida’s open kicker spot. The 11th-ranked Gators announced Friday that Neil MacInnes will serve as the team’s backup Saturday against Southeastern Conference rival Georgia in Jacksonville. Austin Hardin, who has been dealing with a leg injury, is expected to be available to handle kicking duties.
