House District 52 - page 2

Connie Denault leases space for Campaign HQs on 4th Street

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

Just hoping Steve Schale and or one of the other Democratic Masters of the Universe are paying attention to how quickly Connie Denault is building up his campaign operation in House District 52.  First, he posted a huge fundraising number for the first quarter he was in the race, last week he started putting out signage throughout northeast St. Pete and today, I found this tidbit on a real estate website: Connie Denault for State Representative has leased space for…

Don’t look now but Bill Heller has a serious opponent in House District 52

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

I’d be the last person to complain that the campaign season has begun to early, but, jeez, it’s more than six months before the November and, already, the first 4′ x 3′ sign is dotting the cityscape. Someone please tell me how a 70-year-old man is going to outwork the GOP candidate? How is Heller going to walk door-to-door in August? Why do we want someone in office who will be 78 at the end of his possible term? Of course, Heller’s candidacy is being egged on…

To run or not to run? Bill Heller faces a decision in H-52

in Peter/The Bay and the 'Burg by

From The Buzz: Former USF St Pete Dean Bill Heller looks to many Democrats like a dream candidate for recapturing state House District 52, now held by Frank Farkas. But despite heavy recruiting from Betty Castor and others, Heller has not yet decided to run. Meanwhile Republican frontrunner Angelo Cappelli says he gave the dean a little warning a few weeks ago. “I told him, ‘If you run against me, make sure you know I’m bringing everything I have to…
