Florida jobless rate continues to dip slightly

Florida’s unemployment rate is still continuing to dip slightly. The October unemployment rate was 5.1 percent, compared to 5.2 percent in the previous month. According to figures released Friday by the Department of Economic Opportunity, the state added 35,200 jobs last month. Florida adds 15K jobs in August, places third in nation

The Sunshine State added 15,100 private sector jobs in August, placing third among all states, according to a report released Thursday by payroll company ADP. ADP estimates 14,300 of the new jobs went into service industries, with goods-producing industries adding the other 800 jobs.
