Two businesses chosen to create 65 jobs in Midtown

Mayor Rick Kriseman has selected two companies to expand business operations in the Commerce Park area of North Midtown near 22nd Street South. The two companies, EMP Industries and Euro Cycles, are expected to bring 65 new jobs to the area. Florida adds nearly 18K jobs in January, 3rd-best in nation

Florida added 17,900 jobs last month, giving it the third-best total of the 50 states according to numbers released Wednesday by payroll company ADP. The January Regional Employment Report shows a 12,800-job gain in the service industry, with the remaining 5,100 heading to the goods-producing sector. According to the industry breakdown, the Sunshine State added 3,800 jobs in the trade, transportation and utility sector, 3,700 jobs in professional and business services, 3,600 in mining and construction, and 1,500 in manufacturing.…

A Tampa company is shifting and expanding its base of operations to St. Petersburg. Tampa Microwave’s CopaSat is moving to a North St. Pete location from its previous headquarters in West Tampa. A series of business tracking sites also list a CopaSat location at 4701 Central Ave. in St. Pete with  three employees.
