Pier Advisory Task Force posts final report online

Following a 14-month review of The Pier, the Pier Advisory Task Force has released its report to be presented to the mayor and City Council at next Thursday’s June 10 City Council meeting. Tampa’s firefighters endorse Bob Buckhorn for mayor

The city’s firefighters union has pledged support for Bob Buckhorn’s mayoral bid. Representatives of the International Association of Firefighters Local 754 today endorsed the 51-year-old former Tampa city councilman in the 2011 election. “Bob Buckhorn is the best choice for the future of both the City and the future of the Tampa Fire Department,” union President Capt. M.G. Costello said in a statement. “No one is as prepared to lead as Bob.”
