It’s Tampa’s turn to show Rick Kriseman a little love.

Both sides of Tampa Bay are turning out to support the St. Petersburg mayoral candidate, with a number of Tampa and Hillsborough County luminaries hosting a fundraiser Thursday, June 20.

Headlining the reception is Alex Sink, former Florida CFO and Democratic gubernatorial candidate, as well as several Tampa-based political leaders and supporters:

  • Tom And Linda Scarritt
  • Janet Cruz—Florida House District 62
  • Kevin Beckner—Hillsborough County Commissioner, District 6
  • John and Lynn Dingfelder— Councilman, Tampa District 4
  • Elena And Justin Day
  • Ben Diamond
  • Todd Foster
  • Jim Soble
  • Lee Gunn
  • Joel Cantor
  • Rick and Merritt Lindstrom
  • Stacy Frank

Kriseman recently announced his opposition to Lens. It was the first time he publicly choose a side in the key issue in the campaign for St. Petersburg mayor. Kriseman is polling closely behind front-runner Kathleen Ford and ahead of Mayor Bill Foster for the Aug. 27 citywide primary.

The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be at the home of Tom and Linda Scarritt, 824 S Orleans Ave., Tampa. Suggested contributions are $100 to a maximum of $500. Advance donations are welcome at www.Kriseman.com. Anyone wishing to attend can RSVP by contacting Tom Alte at (217) 257-6998 or by email at [email protected].
