USF seeks faster start under coach Willie Taggart this season

in Sports/Top Headlines by

This time, USF will try to have a faster start as it tries to recreate its success from a year ago.

USF won its last eight regular season games a year ago, but the Bulls began the season only 1-3.

It won’t be a lot easier this time, either. After games against Towson and Northern Illinois, the Bulls travel to Syracuse, host FSU and travel to Cincinnati. Following is a game against UConn, at Temple, Navy, at Memphis, at SMU and UCF.

The Bulls will again be led by quarterback Quincy Flowers and running back Marlon Mack. One thing the Bulls won’t have to contend with are the rumors about head coach Willie Taggart, who has a new contract.
