Quinton Flowers didn’t mess around with most of the football field Saturday night. He just worried about the end zones.
Flowers threw for four touchdown passes in the Bulls’ lopsided 65-27 victory over Cincinnati Saturday night. The four touchdown passes accounted for 120 if his 165 yards passing on the night in less than three quarters.
For his efforts, Flowers is the Sunshine State Player of the Week.
Flowers is in his first full year of starting, and his improvement has been noticeable throughout the year, but Cincinnati was the first time his passing efficiency went over 200 (213.73). Before that, he had six of seven games it was 134 or greater.
Other players considered for the weekly award included teammate Marlon Mack (106 yards), FSU running back Dalvin Cook (106 yards), Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya (300 yards) and Florida linebacker Jarrod Davis.
