More than DeShaun Watson of Clemson.

More than Justin Thomas at Georgia Tech.

More than Joshua Dobbs at Tennessee.

More than anyone in college football all year. That’s how magical the feet of USF quarterback Quinton Flowers were Sunday in a victory over SMU. Flowers rushed 23 times for 201 yards, breaking the school record for rushing by a quarterback by more than 50 yards. For his efforts, Flowers is the Sunshine State Player of the Week.

Behind Flowers, the Bulls won their third straight game. Flowers made sure that USF would not miss talented running back Marlon Mack, who was out with an injury.

Also considered for the weekly award were FIU quarterback Alex McGough, who threw for 390 yards in a win over Old Dominion, FIU receiver Jonnu Smith, who caught 10 passes for 183 yards, and FAU quarterback Jaquez Jones, who threw for 263 yards in a loss to UTEP.
