House District 63 candidate Shawn Harrison has nabbed a 13-point lead over incumbent Mark Danish, according to a recent St. Pete Polls survey of 398 likely voters. Harrison, a Tampa attorney, leads his Democratic opponent 53 percent to 30 percent; 7 percent of respondents were undecided. District 63 covers Tampa and other parts of Hillsborough County. A central Florida congressional race between on-again/off-again U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson and conservative Carol Platt is, maybe, polling tight. Platt’s campaign Thursday released data from an internal poll showing her trailing Grayson by just five points.
