Both incumbents running for re-election on the Pinellas County School Board are getting an approving nod from PCTA/PESPA, according to an email sent to members today.

The unions’ political action committee endorsed Linda Lerner for District 6 and Peggy O’Shea for District 3. It’s also backing former principal Terry Krassner for District 2 and former principal and area superintendent Lew Williams for District 7.

The email said “both incumbents have worked closely with the PCTA in solving problems in the past and Lerner, in particular, has a distinguished record in support of Pinellas students and school employees.”

Krassner and Williams have “extensive knowledge of the school district, its policies and its needs,” it continued. “Their experience, their preparation, their candor and their willingness to work closely with our two unions were readily apparently to the PAC.”
